Nothing wrong with these checks. I found them very difficult to install with a Lee sizing die on a coated Lyman 257420 bullet so gave up on that. I'm sure they would go onto an uncoated bullet just fine. A machinist friend offered to make me a small die base to directly install the check. Will try that.

I handload for every caliber I shoot and your gas checks help me keep the cost of my ammunition down while still maintaining the quality and consistency needed.

First time using gas checks, I found them easy to install and once crimped they stay put.

Now I know why they call them Gator checks. They bite in and don't let go. Seriously though - casting with an Ideal 257418 and sizing in a Lyman 450 to .258" the Gator checks fit the GC shank very well and crimped on every bit as well as Hornady's checks at a more affordable price. I use Gator checks in several different calibers and get equally good results. Shipping from Sage's is lightning quick. All in all - you can't go wrong.
