My favorite rifle is a m92 Winchester in 38/40 that I use in two different shoots at our club's monthly silhouette shoots. Had a heart-stopping moment a few weeks ago when I discovered I'd let myself run out of gas checks for my 200 grain "Accurate" bullet which works best for me.
I've seen "out of stock, no backorder" verbiage an awful lot the past few years and was afraid I'd see that this time. But nope, Sage had plenty and I ordered another decade's worth of checks. Thanks Sage!

These are as advertised and a great value in this economy. The fit and finish as well as the consistency is excellent.

I first tried them on a unique "footed shank" .40 application and they are a little too tight. Were it not for that foot on the shank they would do nicely. Work well on a .41 shank application. I found no malformed checks and while I have not counted it seems they do throw in a few extra with each order.

I have some odd ball loads which I will not describe here, but I put one gas check under the plastic wad and one on top in place of a shot card, then seal it all in with some shot shell sealer.

These checks pop on and don't fall off before they can be set. I use a Star sizer and size down .001 from as-cast from this mould. The checks are just right: not too tight but not too lose. I pick these bullets from dirt berms and water jugs both with the checks still attached.

Great quality and the checks fit nicely on my Accurate mold bullets.

I made an "oops" and ordered regular 40 cal first and they are waay to small for this NOE shank: the old Star attached 'em but shaved a little lead from the shank while doing it. These are just perfect.
