A customer gave us feed back on our .44 Small Shank aluminum gas checks.
These are our .018 .44 rifle gas checks made about .003 undersized
inside the cup. We use a fairly thick aluminum, so these will size up to
the larger bores too.
Ron Neifer:
"This is an example of the undersized checks used for Lee small shanks. Shot on two different days with my Marlin Micro purchased in early 70s. 300 grain Lee. I seat the aluminum checks with a Lee sizer and lube with my Lyman 450. I did not find one aluminum check laying on the range. I have been doing exhaustive tests and I can say these checks work as advertised. Great product. Will purchase more. They also work on regular size shanks, so go ahead and experiment.

Ron Neifer followed up with another report on 8-7-18:
"Attached is photo of Lee 430-310-RF. As you can see your product performs as claimed. Prior to using Sage Small checks I lost 20 percent of my cast as the copper checks would not adhere solid to the base. It was frustrating as fliers would result. Those days are over. It was a perfect day at the range. I hope to try this check in my .44 mag with other projectiles. I included the load data. I have yet to find one aluminum check laying on the range."
